Alicia Wright is an 11th grader from Georgia who was one of the recent National Stem Challenge finalists!
She is interested in climate change and the global carbon footprint, and learned that a significant amount of CO2 emissions come from construction materials.
To address this, her invention is a biodegradable construction material made with mycelium, a type of fungus!
